Money Mindset : Am I ready for my Journey 2 Financial Freedom?

“Your ability to create wealth and stay wealthy is not dependent on how much you earn, it is dependent on your mindset and habits.

Do you have a healthy money mindset? Does this empower you to healthy money habits?”

The Dream of Financial Freedom

Who doesn’t want financial freedom?

Most people. Really? Yup. They might say they want it, but when it comes down to doing what is needed to be done to create financial freedom, most people will not do it. There is a gap between what they say they want and what they actually do about it.

Is this you? Are you most people?

The Importance of your Mindset

As we’ve described before (Money Mindset Self-Assessment), how you think and feel about money impacts how you’re able to get it to work for you. The first step to financial freedom is to get curious about your money mindset and to consciously grow your awareness of how the way you think and feel impacts the choices you make for your money and Life.

As you master self-awareness of your thoughts and feelings about money and their impact on the choices you make, you will start to be able to change the course of your Life and direct money to work for you in new and more intentional ways- helping you on your journey to financial security, independence and financial freedom.

However – this is not easy.

The reason it’s not easy is because we often can’t see what’s going on within us and unconsciously impacting our thoughts, feelings and behaviour about and with our money. This is why working with a professionally certified Financial Coach is most helpful. A financial coach will help you see the reality of what’s going on in your world right now as well as support you in choosing what to do about it if you really want to make a change and walk the journey to finanical freedom.

Working with My Journey 2 Freedom you get access to two highly qualified Financial Planners and Financial Coaches. We offer a collaborative combination of certifications in Financial Planning, Psychology, Professional Coaching and Tax Planning amongst other things.

If you’re thinking about working with us, make sure you’re ready to do what it will take to reach the financial goals you say you have. Take our quick “Journey 2 Financial Freedom Readiness Assessment” below to see whether you’re ready to start your own Journey 2 Freedom Experience with us now.

Dimensions of Financial Wellness

Money is something that we are in a relationship with. For many, especially during the current economic climate, financial problems are stressful and can often arise unexpectedly, causing mental health issues. These mental health issues can then have a huge effect on how people behave with their money, potentially creating a vicious cycle. Financial planners now see the value in upskilling themselves to be better at working with the psychological aspect of money and not just the numbers.

We believe in freedom. We believe that we can create freedom through living our values of connection, contribution and response-ability. These values form the foundation of every choice we make, especially when it comes to the relationships we have with our clients.

Therefore, before we offer any help or service we first seek to understand more about who you are, what you’re wanting help with and where we can add value and, most importantly, confirm that both you and we feel connected as human beings, heart to heart, ready to journey together.

Money Mindset : Free Self-Assessment

We are born. We Live. We die. These are the 100% indisputable facts of life as a human being (well, plus taxes!). What happens in between birth and death is what makes a Life, what adds up to our experience of being human.

The way we think, the way we feel (both physically and emotionally) impacts our experience of money and the quality of the Life we live. If we can gain control and mastery of our thoughts and emotions we can positively change the way we experience money and Life.

5 Tips for Financial Freedom

Mary J Fourie’s father passed away when she was very young. There was no life insurance in place. This left her mother to work exceptionally hard to look after both her and her brother. Mary believes her mom was completely dis-empowered in that situation because her parents had done no financial planning. “That is why I’m so passionate about helping women and change-makers to thrive, not just survive!” She says. “That’s why I like to help people on their journey to financial freedom.”
